Our Family, Our Standard Poodles

Our breeding program started out it the most amazing way possible. I wanted a Standard Poodle to train as a therapy dog. I searched until I found the perfect match! Truly is totally self trained and she earned her AKC CGC with my 10 year old son as her handler not long after she turned 1. Truly is our very own TDI certified therapy dog. Not only is she a dream as a family member but she charms everyone she meets and she comes from champion bloodlines. She along with Sam a giant teddy bear in a poodle suit started our Illini Spirit Standard Poodles family! It did not take long for me to understand that poodles were not just dogs. We added Claire a short time later and the rest is history! All of our breeding poodles have had genetic testing and are clear of DM, Von W, NE, and PRC. All of our puppies are born and raised in our home with our family. We are proud supporters of Illini Service Dogs and have had two of our puppies complete training with them and are now service dogs. A third puppy is in training currently! Several other puppies are training to be service dogs and therapy dogs. We have puppies that are training or competing in grooming competitions, agility, dock diving, and obedience as well as many well loved family pets. As you can see Standard Poodles are very diverse dogs and are also great family pets. I love sharing our Standard Poodles with everyone so I look forward to hearing from you!
